IADLEST Sourcebook Survey

IADLEST offers it members a unique opportunity to gather with other training and standards managers to exchange information and ideas. To this end, the Sourcebook is dedicated.

The entire Sourcebook, in an electronic format, contains responses from all fifty states. The Sourcebook is a valuable tool; to inform IADLEST members and others about the diverse range of programs and activities throughout the nation associated with officer standards, training, certification, and licensing.

The International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training (IADLEST) is an association of criminal justice standards and training managers, and Academy Directors. The association’s primary focus is to improve criminal justice standards and training. To the extent these values can be shared and enhanced, all training professionals are welcome as members. The mission of IADLEST is to research, develop, and share information, ideas, and innovations which assist states in establishing effective and defensible standards for employment and training of criminal justice personnel.

IADLEST acknowledges the contribution by the partners and associates at the International Academy of Public Safety (IAPS) for the work they put forth in developing and deploying the technology for this on-line version of the Sourcebook and both formatting and inputting the 2005 data from each State, to make it easy for every POST organization to update their Sourcebook information. IADLEST is excited to launch this version of the Sourcebook, hopefully making it easier for all 50 State POST agencies to keep it current. This new version of the Sourcebook would not have been possible without the contributions and work of everyone at IAPS who continuously partner with IADLEST and other organizations to Deliver Results with CONFIDENCE.
